About Douglas Mitchell

I’m Douglas Mitchell and I’m here to help.

I am an experienced lawyer and have been practicing as a barrister and solicitor since I was admitted to the bar, back in 2000. In the intervening years I have worked for established law firms, gaining court experience in Traffic and Transport Law, Criminal Law, Insurance Law, Employment Law and Civil Litigation. 

I started my own practice as Douglas Mitchell Lawyer, to give clients personable, friendly and easy access to legal expertise. Everyone knows that legal support can be expensive even if (as in larger firms) your case is largely handled by a junior lawyer.

I make you two promises:

• You always have access to me, personally - not just some junior lawyer.
• I’ll be upfront about my fees and keep them as reasonable as I can (you’re not paying for fancy offices here).

I am conveniently based in Albany on Auckland’s North Shore, and regularly attend courts throughout the wider Auckland region and beyond.
